For this project, I created an editorial design which creatively expresses the content in a semi-playful way. I chose to write about my biracial identity crisis in my editorial, which is an important topic for myself. In short, I wanted to explore a bit how exactly my upbringing shaped my identity and who I am, but how being biracial can sometimes confuses how I see myself. Being half Chinese and half white, as I get older, I am more and more feeling a pressure to either pick an identity with being Asian or white. Some biracial people I know do identify with one ethnicity more than their other half, but this editorial story about myself is for anyone that eventually realizes that they do not have to conform to one identity. Though my experiences are different than other biracial people, I feel it is important to recognize the duality in myself and embrace it, rather than conform to one racial identity.
